Typing The Sound Yanko Design

Yamaha and Fabian Cappello teamed up to deliver this modified typewriter, which has each key wired to play a different musical note as you type. The end result is a sentence that also plays out as a melody.

Aside from standing on its own as a neat piece of DIY tech, the idea of visualizing words and sentences as music is kind of mind-bending. Think of it the other way--what does the melody to Beethoven's 9th Symphony look like in words?

I can't wait to see the computer keyboard version! It is not just a dream any more... I am so excited about this great invention!

wow thats cool for sumone like me I love music

It's already possible on the keyboard. Just find and download "KeyBored." It has a variety of different instrument styles so you can easily record and play a masterpiece or a cute ditty. I really like using the windpipes and helicopter sound sets.
