What is it like to be in the top 100?

I have been here for quite awhile and have been gone for almost 6 months (got bored, just came back yesterday) and still at 76 and never received nothing.

For most of us the glory of being in the top 100 is enough. They only reward those who are in need of something special to make their lives feel complete.

Getting into the Top100 is alot harder now. It's also much harder to get there than stay there... and each increment you can parse out after that (Top50, Top25, Top10) is that much harder to get into, but easier to stay in.

There are two players in the Top10 who clearly have not played since I started playing, but they're still in the Top10 because getting enough cash to get there is much harder with commissions.

I never got nothin for being a top-100-moron, and I think you're making things up, cuz popsci don't care enough about the ppx to do anything like what you're talking about. But xongrats, mr. 100.

I think being top-100 is boring, b/c nothin happens. The other day, I got a payout the wrong way, and my rank didn't even change.

I just want to know what wrath he thinks he's infamous for, I think he has all the wrath of gnat, without wings.

Like I said previously I had played awhile ago and now remember why I quit previously. The top couple players have robots that switch their stocks automatically. I think the competition should be redone and not allow people to "hack" the system. I think it is great someone can do that but lets have two competitions people who "hack" and people who plod along all day and actually read the IPO's and make educated guess.

How do you know that people are using a bot, and are not just on all the time, Check out PPXchat those people (and me lately) are on all the time, they don't need a bot to automatically make their trades.

Now You might have an argument if you mean that here is a difference between those who wave ride, and those who don't, but no bot is needed to succeed in waveriding.

Not sure if you were here during the ScarletPimple and Rooster debacle but there previously was a falling out. They had a great website that scrapped the information and help us without bots to change our stocks to "waveride". Through that is was never proven because you actually can't "prove" without a doubt someone is doing it. But, by watching some of these guys you could see they would get 100% accuracy. Pretty much impossible without a bot.

I maintain a spreadsheet that monitors the earnings of those in the top100. I update it each morning at about 1am eastern after the leaderboard updates (which it has not done for 2 days). I have made this spreadsheet available to answer questions just such as this. No one in the top100 is anywhere near 100% accuracy. Often the best daily net worth gain in the top100 is around 50% accuracy.

My point is, roygbiv is right, the people who do the best are those who are able to hang out online and watch changes all day, or monitor the discussions in the PPXChat.com chatroom.

I would be curious if you could check it several months previous. They began to turn off their bots after the debacle several months (Feb) timeframe. I bet if you looked at last year Nov-Feb timeframe you will find something.

I am not saying I do not enjoy this game. I have met several very smart and enjoyable people. Alot have left and it seems a newer "generation" is here at this point. Looks like you may have taken over for someone who used to be here (gpm1942) did the same thing you do to catch the people.

GPM1942 was always claiming that he saw people using bots but would never show any evidence, he also aways thought the system had errors (and there were some), but he saw errors in anyone who preformed better than he did for the most part.

Sorry you are right it was actually GPM1949 I was referring to.

I thought it was 1948 or 1949, I think his was 1949 and when I started yanking is chain on PPXbroker I signed in under GPM1948.

Here's a question for you Top 100 from a newbie. What do I get if I spend all this time getting into the top 100. I mean you guys are earning all this virtual money. Can you actually spend it? What can you buy with it in the real world? It there like a store cause I'm really not seeing one.....Otherwise I'll stick with predictify.com I like feeling real money in my hands....

It seems to me that there should be a time-factoring score that takes into account how long one has been a participant and how many "stocks" (these are actually futures contracts) one has been able to participate in. For those who started at the beginning there is a huge advantage and it makes catching these leaders "virtually" impossible.
