There are several posters who are one nasty comment away from being banned permanently. I'm not going to call you out by name here, but think about this carefully--I'm sure you can guess who you are.

PopSci will not tolerate rude, personal comments on the boards, either to each other or to the admins. Let's all try to remember that PPX is a game. It's meant to be fun. Don't be a spoiler. Constructive criticism is welcome, but keep the tone civil and polite or you're outta here.

Thanks,

Megan

Very cool. I'm glad to see you're moderating the forums now. If you need a volunteer or three to help, let me know.

Maybe I missed something. Are these forums getting that out of hand? When your closing threads I can only assume that something awful was said and that I missed it. I think ppx is fun and forum drama adds to that fun for me. But I am a little saddened by the fact that this predictions exchange has turned out to be just "a game." PPX is such a tremendous idea with a buttload of potential. Can I say buttload? I have come to the conclusion that this exchange is not living up to its buttload of potential but have readjusted my expectations accordingly and enjoy ppx. Megan, I hear the frustration in your keystrokes and understand that you and your two co-workers are being mentally taxed, hang in there and try not to take things personal. You are an unknown entity to the people who have thrown callous remarks your way.
Megan, when the democratic candidate is chosen can you please make a stock on who will be our next president?
Megan, have a great weekend. If you read this on Monday or Tuesday, have a great day.

Yes, kcondon, these forums are getting that out of hand. Personal attacks are not only being made on the folks that run this game, but also on other players. I'm sorry you missed the "bozos" threads, but both of them were very abusive to the administrators. It's uncalled for and also rude.

Not to mention all the none-specific griping with no solution proposed.

I must not of read that thread. No need for that stuff.

Thanks for the support, guys. In response to your comment, kcondon, we do think PPX has tons of potential for generating accurate predictions, but as an application, it's definitely on the gaming spectrum, wouldn't you agree? My point wasn't to diminish the seriousness of what can be achieved here, but to point out that the community has to take an equal responsibility in keeping it fun. When there's lots of negativity in the forums, it's a bummer for everyone. Have a good weekend.

sounds good...

Megan thanks for keeping it as fun as possible. It is good to make things fun especially when work and school tends to be boring. I haven't read the "bozos" forum. If you need any help, let me know. Also, how can I get in touch with you when I find something really negative.

Another warning to forum trolls...
Slovacks was banned for making weird, ridiculous threats. Let that be a lesson to all of you who make weird, ridiculous threats (do we have any of those left?).
