Oh. I thought the rules prohibited having multiple accounts. (Collusion is so hard to avoid, even with multiple
personalities). If you have been running multiple accounts

I think that we should do some sort of mass civil disobeyance, I just can't think of what actually to do. The only thought that I have to mass stock manipulation to make back the money that we lost on the HGHTEST stock. Of course that is against the rulesl.

What is going on here? The game has quirks, bugs, errors, etc. but now we're going to just try to destroy the basic integrity of it? These are the same kind of reasons that Rooster is gone. I thought it had already been established that this isn't acceptable.

What should have been deemed as unacceptable is the way in which this market has been ran, and how the masses heads have been turned each time by the admins saying were trying there's only 3 of us, or were making improvements which we can't tell you what they are, because if we do you'll figure out they aren't improvements at all. Its a sad state when the players understand the potential here better than those running the show. And yeah giving away accounts should be unacceptable (which by the way I claimed Kahomono's just so he couldn't, and I have no plans on trading from it, although I am not opposed to giving it to someone else)

This is what I feared, that others would use this as a sign of protest. For the record, this was never meant to be a sign of protest, it was simply me saying "I'm bored with this, adios". I may very well open another account, and build it up. But right now these accounts are taking too much of my time because of size.

I have captured all three as well as kahomono's, and except for locking the password won't do anything with them, I don't even know the value of two of iburngijoe's accounts and don't know any stocks being held or how, there locked in, because any changes in these portfolio's could change or strengthen a stock direction, so I'm leaving them as is.

I'm not playing them so there is no collusion. And they didn't stop Iburnedgijoe when he indicated that he had three accounts that he was playing. but worst case scenario, instead of taking 25% of my account and closing the others they drop me back to $260K, I bet we see an increase in people starting second accounts just so that they can be dropped down low enough to make a run for the prize. I mean unless you have bragging rights of being in the top ten which it is remotely possible that people can break into, after you hit $600K your chances of winning a prize diminishes (but is not impossible), so why not get kicked down to $260-$400K..

Now I just noticed that this thread was started by Iburnedgijoe, but it was signed the Arsonist. so Arsonist is this a fourth account. or did Iburnedgijoe throw out a red herring.

I'm trying to decide. I'm against anyone playing two accounts at the same time, although I am not really against someone having two accounts as long as they don't play them both or play one to benefit the other. I can see someone with a high total quiting an account and opening a second account to compete for a prize, or just to see if they can build up faster now that they know the game. I may put all four accounts out for the taking by giving puzzles for the passwords.
or I just might let them sit. Right now all four are protected by the same password so if someone gets the password they have four accounts available to them.

also, forgot to mention.... admin actually blocked my other ISP a week or so ago after like a month delay between my spam posts and actual blocking. Ok Cptjackharknes, you obviously believe that it is Ok to run multiple accounts, for what purpose I can only assume, and if having your extra account blocked was all that happened to you, you got off lucky. Although maybe it was an account that wasn't used at the same time your primary was used so they didn't think you were manipulating the market. And I'm actually not against having two or more accounts as long as they are never active at the same time, so if you built one up to say $1.2 million and want to make that account dormant, and then start a second account to try for the prize again or just to see if you can out perform your earlier game, which I know is against the rules, but I can see people wanting to do it and doing it.

But the real reason I grabbed those accounts is two fold, first I was in the right place at the right time and it was fun to get them, and it stopped those who gave them up from changing their mind. The second reason is I don't think its fair to anyone if someone can suddenly improve their ranking by taking over another account (myself included) If you haven't earned it you don't deserve to play it. I haven't earned those scores or rankings and thats why I'm gonna just let them set. And who is so lame that they want to take credit for the ranking that some one else earned, even if you moved it from $1.6 million to $10 million people are all going to say yeah he has $10 million but he didn't earn it was given to him.

Ok everyone who is under 1.1 million who agrees with arsonist that I should give his account to someone with a lower rank and net worth, so that they can advance in the game (passing you), even though they have not earned it.

While I doubt anyone will be fighting over my old account (theKovenant - Net Worth ~$450,000) I decided to reset my portfolio anyway and use my new-and-current online handle. We'll see how fast I can jump up to the same level (especially when I got such a boost with all those pay-outs in a row).

A tilde is used for various applications, often used to indicate approximation when placed before a numerical value. Thus, if the exact number is not known or the user is too lazy to go and investigate the actual value (which was the case here), the tilde is used to indicate a close guess.

And people with less than $450,000 would probably welcome it, especially those currently below $200K.

So what did you do with your old account, close it out, keep it active.

Not really sure how to close it out or anything so I just sold off most of the stocks, kept 3 or 4 just for reference; I don't plan on going back to use it. If there is some way to eliminate it, then I would like to do so.

Oh, and I have no desire to go after the prize since it's only open to residents of the States, of which I am not.

I find it somewhat questionable when a stock only trades 922 shares and yet moves $1.75 having not moved all day. I think the exchange needs to quote a two way market and have it reflect the real supply vs demand.

Aww, take it easy. I believe milk's take has something to do with the fact that Abby Seiff explained (however briefly) that they talked to WADA to confirm whether the criteria was met. They decided it was, so he probably considers it fixed/resolved.

Junior, to stand on ones own head would necessitate the removal of ones head (in your case I think it wouldn't have a noticeable effect :). For most of us, it would be lethal and we would therefore, still be unable to stand on our respective heads.

This thread has got way off track. We started out selling accounts and now accusing people being over vigilant. Also, for those really nerdy people who can do a sales pitch and knows a lot about software and all the stuff that goes with it, try and persuade the admins to switch to a better and more superior software. Make sure it can hold a lot of people, okay. It needs to be durable able to stand up to most viruses. If the admins don't want to change software at all. Then, please will the admins let some of the more responsible people on this site or people that just lay low and know a good bit about computer software help with the site to help satisfy the demands of the people. I'll be out for a long while again so I may not be able to continue the discussion until several days later.
