I was rereading some of the old threads in the archived forums, I forgot how much better those forums were to use, especially when compared to the ones used now. I also think the quality of the forums were better, and there were a lot more fun posts, in the forums today I only read about 2% of the the threads, where I used to read about 90% of the threads in the old forums.

I thought that they were going to work on improving these forums, but they just continue to get worse. new threads get sent to the end, and need bumped to be brought to the front, all posts are put on one page so you have to scroll down through all the posts to get to a new one, (in the old forums at least you could skip a lot by going directly to the last page).

I also liked that in the old forums you could use emoticons or even post images, and of course I really liked the search feature so you could track down specific posts easier.

Mr. Spectrum:

You're right on all counts. The new forums are painful to use. They don't seem to be getting any better either.
