Hey guys. i was readin my issue of popsci and i stumbled across the "ppx" page and realized that i had not visited my favorite internet community i some time. i got really burnt out i guess. but i plan on poppin in every now and then to... be a consultant, maybe? (those who cant do, teach, right?) well its nice to see some familiar names still here (most notably you, mr. fisher) and also many new names that i will have to get to know. i do most of my surfing from my phone these days as i dropped out of high school and i have no other internet. so my capitalization sucks and i apologize. if anyone needs tips or just wants to talk (lol like thats ever gonna happen) my personal email is the.sane.asylum@gmail.com and if you think i am a wierdo for giving out my email addres on a public forum, gmail has a wonderful spam filter that i will not hesitate to use if i do not like you. sooo, ya ill probably be perusing the forums every now and again and i hope to participate in many enlightening discussions similar to the ones i so fondly remember from long ago.

Well, Hello. I joined about 3 months ago and found my place here. Nice to meet you.
Don't worry, those long, drawn-out, intriguing discussions are still present on the forums :). From what I hear, much more goes on in the PPXChat though. Most people here generally stay in the chat throughout the day and check up on it periodically.

Hey dannyV,
Welcome back, and nice to meet you. I hope you'll trade and not just teach, and that we'll see you around here more. I also hope you'll go back to high school-- at the risk of sounding parental or something-- I know it can really suck, but you can go on in there, show 'em whose boss, and come out on top. You know, leave it in the dust and never look back.

good day!
hey, thanks for responding to my post. i did not think anyone would. I used to spend alot of time in ppxchat as well but i have no regular internet so i am stuck with using my phone. i plan on starting independent study, taylor, so all is not lost. i enjoy learning and the dropping out was due to a disagreement with my parents. hello kirby, you are a fellow californian and i can appreciate stream of consciousness. i often brainstorm ideas and that is one of the best ways to get my ideas on paper. i will hopefully begin trading soon but my phone has a problem loading the portfolio page. namely, it doesnt load. so if i do trade it will be strictly long term and therefore not very profitable. Good Luck!
DannyV.
Heyy, I'm from Cali too :p
I'd rather be elsewhere but for the time being CA is ok.

Given that there is snow all over NYC at present and wearing all my favorite shoes could very easily lead to frostbite, I would much rather me in Cali.
Just a thought.

And Danny-- Go for that indy-study style, man. Just get it done! And enjoy it.
Yeah, it's much better to get it done and over with (while doing well, especially), than to leave and always wish you had gone back.
Just a thought (too).
Independent study does sound like fun, kinda wish I had tried it.
Well, in a temperate sense, Cali is great, but in an economic sense... ugg...
Luckily I'm still young and I can keep savin' my pennies :)

I also use my phone to check up on PPX (by choice not need)....if you use the default browser on most phones you will have problems. I avoid them by using Opera Mini, just type in "www.operamini.com" into your browser and it will automatically ID your phone, then just download the version it recommends. It's faster than regular browsers and reliable, I use it as my default browser now.
yeah, Opera is great. I use it for my PC. I always had weird issues with Firefox locking up, and Opera has a lot more things built-in that i use. (IRC client, mail client) They even use it on the Wii :p.

Hey DannyV, remember me? I used to be Avatarmage. I remember you from the PPXchat. I was just wonderin' where you went.
The thing I find craziest about California currently is the 10% sales tax. When I was there in Dec/Jan, a cashier at Albertson's said Dec 31 was her last day; she was moving to Texas to escape the sales tax hike.
Yes, I absolutely hate the spike in sales tax.
I went to Costco a few days ago to buy a new monitor. (my old one had an annoying red pixel preventing me from watching movies) It was marked at $229, but I ended up paying $265... I think this also had to do with the electronic waste disposal tax as well which is about 10-or-so bucks... I forget...
Meh. I'll just be keeping this monitor for a longgggg time.
