Here is an interesting interview with the guy at Google responsible for evangelizing Gears.

It is interesting mostly from a lack of reference to any new Gears functionality being rolled out in the near future. I take this to mean that it is unlikely that there will be any offline gmail functionality offered by Google by July 1st.
Meaning this prop is a strong short.

Sometimes the inefficiencies of this market are shocking. This prop is closing in about ONE WEEK and it is currently priced at over $51.
How is it that more than 50% of you believe that this prop has a prayer of paying out long. There has been no chatter about Gears being added to gmail. No rumors... nothing...
And that is how this prop is going to pay out in 10 days... at "0"
Here is your chance to make an easy $50k (or avoid a $50k loss if you are holding it the wrong way).
I realize it's a little late for the prop, but this article mentions google will add gears to gmail and calander in six weeks.
