We need a new prop for an ice free arctic this year. Scientists are saying the chances are 50-50 because the majority of sea ice is first-year. Skeptics are even saying 1 in 4 chance. This is a sure thing in my opinion.

Do you mean, in previous years they charged for arctic ice? Is arctic ice free this year only, or will it be a new policy to not charge for arctic ice anymore?

I don't think this will happen because Canada and Russia will feel an economic pinch if they stop charging for arctic ice. They will continue to charge for arctic ice.

Canada might be willing to stop charging with some persuasion. However, I can't see Russia even considering free ice for others seeing as oil is mostly their only major export.

I never even thought of Russia as a major exporter of arctic ice, but it must be so.

Perhaps Argentina and Brazil can cause Russia to lower their price by going to Antarctica and bringing back some antarctic ice.

The area of Arctic sea ice increased by over 10% this year, compared to last. When are people going to realize that global warming alarmists are serial exaggerators?

right after they realize that the same people and institutions, and organizations that say there is global warming are the same ones that 20 years ago said there was global cooling. That's right cooling, we were headed toward a nuclear winter!! It was because of the carbon and gasses we were putting in the atmosphere!! It was blocking out the sun!! Oh God!! We even banned aerosol spray cans because they were causing global cooling!!

In any event, Russia is building oil tankers with hulls like icebreakers, which tells us (1) they are going after oil somewhere cold, and (2) they expect that the ice will still be there.

Mike Cook, you're not related to Mike Hunt, by any chance, are you?

Dammit Mike, are you?

Somewhat in keeping with the low taste commentary now established, I have heard that a "hunk" type photograph of our president-elect without his shirt on has been made in Hawaii. Rush Limbaugh urges listeners to compare this photograph (which is in high demand apparently with ladies of all ages) with similar photos of Comrade Putin of Russia, who is also in very good shape and likes to take his shirt off to show it.

Limbaugh says that both men look like they have their upper torsos body waxed. This is rather a disturbing portrait of the two men who between them will soon control about 90% of all the real weapons of mass destruction in the world.
