... all of them american schools... how narrow minded

It does say The best places to pursue science in the U.S.
Michigan Tech's Enterprise program will be having one of their satellites launched in 2013.
This is just one real world program team among about 30.
Yes... very narrow minded...
Get over yourself.
U.S. is the only country that matters.
You don't like it, go to your own country's version of PopSci.
pvc? like the pipe? think if i was going to transform it'd be into something cooler than that!
USA only country that matters? OK. tell Russia and the EU that when they put a man on mars while the US is still China's little bitch.
I'm not British, but the ONLY country that has ever mattered is and was Britain, without the British Empire, you and me would be speaking French and would have a King & Queen who owes too much money to the Dutch, instead of the Chinese... scientific progress would still be 20-30years behind to where is is now and half the democracies around the world just wouldn't exist at all.
Americans forget, it wasn't America vs the British in the war for independence, it was "the British" vs "British entrepreneurs".... the Boston tea party wasn't because the tea was taxed to much.. the tea tax was actually very low... Americans only paid $1 in tax then where actual Britains paid about $20 a year in taxes. it was about the very thing that the British believed in the most, representation by population & self rule.
America never mattered, it was just a buy product of an empire that controlled half the world through business interests. and when Penn was giving Pennsylvania to cover a debt by the king, then sold it off 5000acres for $100, it was just the British being British.
USA = Money hungry British who saw an opportunity and took it.
a cat who runs away, still meows the same, still shits the same, still is a cat the same.
how very "blank" minded...
My original point still stands though... American schools.. how narrow minded, every American has already a pretty good idea of half of those schools already through popular culture, There are plenty of cooler schools outside the USA and nothing broadens the mind than studying abroad... hence the narrow minded comment..... one might think that (from the replies) that I accused the title of stating the coolest schools in the world or something similar in sentiment.
Cheers, eh .. . coolnezz you would know that an "eh" on the end of sentence is genuinely a Canadian thing.
Yeah, USA is still Great Britain and I guess we're all still nomads wondering around the swamps in Africa.
Talk about blank minded...
If USA = Money hungry British then
Britain = Land hungry Germans and
Humanity = Survival hungry apes
Europe is a joke of a continent that is dragging down the rest of the world into financial ruin. China wouldn't be a able to innovate even if you gave them a time machine...
In summary, the rest of the world is and always will be USA's bitch.
Oh, and you are an idiot.
the English are land hungry germans? ok.. 1. the "saxons" we northern Germanic, aka the northern lowlands including Netherlands and Belgium too. but you forget 2. the Norman conquest of England to which my own direct descendants (crossland) participated and were intern awarded Newby estates afterwards. 3. you're thinking of the term "anglo-saxon" accept one part of a stereotype does not make a whole truth. especially when diluted by Norman, Gallic, Roman, etc. together these all made up British, to which made up the entirety of the Anglo-American founding fathers, and pretty much all of the Anglo-american population today... if you can argue that the very small percentage of people who could be classified as 'anglo-American who are both white and speak English who are not from great Britain, like Australia or Canada or any other white English speaking country that wouldn't work either, as they're almost all entirely or partly British to begin with. Even you look at African American and after genetics research that has shown that large amounts of the african population who have confirmed knowledge that there family is straight from Africa, that they in fact actually have European genes, many of which (since the British colonized half the planet) are from Britain. you can add native americans, india and the orient to this as well. PBS had a whole 1hr show just on this not long ago.
Americans are just british people... america never has or ever will be the "only country that mattered".
the last resort in any americans arguement to why america is the country that matters/ed most is the corperate america empire that reaches around the world: coca-cola, microsoft, mcdonalds... except it's just hudsons bay, east india trading co., and all the other capitalist empire influence in continuation... just as the british stood to preserve when they stood ALONE against the german empire during world war 2, until japan attacked the US, the american president continuously refused to give the british use of SURPLUS DISUSED WWI destroyer escorts and instead started the b29 project to bomb german held britain. a scenario that america had no issue with until 1941, fairly telling since Hitler invaded Sudetenland and put the writing on the wall in 1938. the world left to america's devised would be a negotiated peace and continued war with a german europe, middle east, and india.(the mediterranian war was to stop Hitler from reaching india beyond egypt with the help of the jihad hitler incited against british rule throughout the ottoman empire). and russian speaking finland if not all of Scandinavia.
.. basically without Britain, all those democracies that America claims to want to protect and proliferate throughout the world, just wouldn't exist because good old lady liberty and uncle sam were too busy sitting on the front porch waiting to make peace with who one... even fascists and communists from Spain all the way to china...
so again the 'American based capitalist empire' that wraps around the world can thank the British.
America wanted so little to do with the rest of the world after the war, it turned down the chance to take control of the now bankrupt Britain's colonies throughout Africa and all of the then much larger India. America didn't want to matter until the 1960's... when it finally decided empire was good, but Vietnam turned every red-blooded Americans nose up at the idea. too bad, the 'war on terror' would be over by now if the USA populous would except that the USA is indeed an empire with an identity crisis... it would let the army actually get the job done, instead of tip toeing around... but i guess thats the British in you... it's a mirror image of the Boer wars effect on the citisens.
.. no stomach for it.
how many G8/G20 countries were long held British colonies?
what percentage of the worlds countries practice British based law & democracy?
what percentage of the world speaks English?
what percentage of the worlds population are still part of the British commonwealth with the queen of england as their head of state?
What percentage of the worlds population have access to health care as introduced by Victorian Britain(for everyone no matter the illness or treatment required, not just the rich)?
.. anyway you slice it.... America is just not the country that ever mattered the way Americans think it did, nor did it make any decisions to determine why the world looks the way it does today. the USA is completely passive until the 1960's when they decided that being British was the best way to combat the spread of communism(a British ideal in itself of spreading democracy and standing up against it.)..... of course, even the dress up tourist guides in Boston have no clue why tea ended up being thrown in the water, or even who did it, Vietnam vets don't know why the conflict ever started, and America today doesn't admit the war is about oil, while bin laden worked with Americans to get rich building in Dubai.... so go figure.
i really love how the link says "This month, discover the 30 most awesome college labs in the world,"
though it's 25 and USA only...
