Researchers use a perimeter of wireless nodes to detect moving human bodies inside buildings

SWAT teams and rescue workers may soon take advantage of wireless networks to locate people moving around inside buildings.

We previously examined this nifty wireless concept that uses off-the-shelf technology to locate humans to within 3 feet on the other side of walls. Now the researchers have released a couple of awesome videos showing the person-tracking tech in action.

Seems just about anyone can drive like Batman these days, if they have $1 million and 20,000 man-hours to spare. No doubt this Swedish man felt just like Bruce Wayne during those long three and a half years, except without the financial muscle of Wayne Enterprises or a wise-cracking Alfred to bring him tea during breaks.

Batman's Newest Toy

Some things haven’t changed since PopSci awarded Bruce Wayne with the
“Most Acute Case of Gadget Addiction” movie award. Videos posted on the
website Superhero Flix (check it out for some more citizen-paparazzo shaky-cam clips) show Batman tooling around with his new Batpod while filming The Dark Knight in Chicago. The militarized
version of the Batmobile also appears to be hanging around.

Speaking of things that have changed, Heath Ledger’s transformation
into the Joker is also sounding more and more stunning…or scary –
