Winter should be winding down, and if you're in the Northeast, you might even think that's Spring up ahead. But don't get too comfortable. It’s still cold and snowy in much of the U.S. and, if the forecasts are correct, there's more to come.

Thanks to advances in consumer tech, daily activities like stirring your coffee and ironing your clothes just might become obsolete. Think what you could do with all the extra time and energy you’ll save by not mowing your lawn or mopping your floors. You could write the great American novel, or start working on a cure for cancer. Or catch a few M.A.S.H. reruns…
