Gallery: GM's EN-V Pod Commuter Concept

No cup holder? Sorry...

Why the strange names?

Sure, great idea... for the Future-City in the "pictures". And kind of odd that there's basically no information ("2-wheeled electric that navigates on its own") which suggests that this is way more "concept" than "car."

To my sensibility, this, like the Segway (oh, wait, just searched, and this IS the uber-Segway) is just another way to fatten people up by making walking and bicycling seem "obsolete". A classic example of when you have to think about whether technology is helping you or harming you.

One of our many pot holes would make short work of the thing.

Hope both passengers had the same garlic chicken for dinner.

Well, the environmentalists must have won big for, clearly, flatulence would have been outlawed. It could be deadly in that little box.

For the average, overweight American they have a model that you wear instead of ride in.

It doesn't look stable. What about putting bumpers all around it, so we can play bumper cars? Does it come in a transformer model? Sometimes I need a robot body to get my work done. Can it avoid crashes and large falling objects or does it have an ejection seat? Is there an optional fart power interface? What about weapons? What kind of weapons does it have?

You all sound like those that used to say "It will never replace the horse." we will be dealing with these type vehicles in the future, maybe not this one in particular but something ultra compact. Cities will have no choice, they will have to create lanes for these type vehicles or even completely rework traffic so these vehicles have their own streets.

The names are Chinese. This is probably designed by GM's Shanghai design team, thus the pictures of near to of Shanghai's museums.

The seeker of knowledge who seeks to reach beyond the stars to go where no mans gone before to see things no man has seen and bring these experiences back for the whole world to hear and see.

look primarily electric thats means driving distance on these will be sorry they will never make it to maine stream anyway couse thier hug potential to be fatal in a car crash (big car, truck crash into one of those vehicles =ball of death) the only thing i can think of that can make those usefull is maybe tansporting (taxi) people around shopping centers .What i think would be cool is if thery let you ride these instead of the tour cars at universal studios
i hate those tour cars. Think out side the box tho maybe in the future it will be to crowded and well have to ride these cars. until then i think i'll buy a BMW
