The twin-turbochargers in the new model are equipped with Porsche’s Variable Turbine Geometry, or VTG, technology. VTG uses moveable turbo vanes which, depending on the flow rate of the engine’s exhaust gases, adjust their angle to achieve an optimal air flow. Also available for the first time on the 911 Turbo is direct fuel injection, which, as the name suggests, shoots fuel directly into the combustion chamber at an extremely high pressure, optimizing performance, efficiency and fuel economy. Combine all this with variable valve timing and a new intake manifold, which allows the engine to breathe easier than before, and the result is more speed and consistent acceleration than you know what to do with.

The New Porche -

You can't get a repair manual, not even from the dealer. Not that it matters because there are special tools required to fix half of it and they're not available to anyone but the dealer. In other words, when your Porsche breaks (and sooner or later ALL cars do), the ONLY place to go is the dealer.

Long term, Porsche is shooting themselves in the feet.

Porsche 911 is a perfection of a obsolete technology.
As great as it is, it's not a good car and the company is trying for a long time to shake it down. But it sells as a legend, so they keep making it for few rich snobs.
Proof that it's obsolete is in Japan. They copied every car design under the Sun, except rear engine design.
Porsche tried front engine and 928/944 were great cars. But didn't sound like 911 or something. Now they are trying mid engines. There is still a hope.
