Mercedes to Launch Hydrogen Fuel-Cell Car Into Production by 2010

Well, how much does it cost? How far will a single fueling go, and what does a fueling cost? How much space in the car is taken up by the fuel tank?

Could we make our own hydrogen? Probably compressing it might result in blowing the place up, but maybe solar panels all over the body could feed H2 into the fuel cell under low pressure, thus conserving the stuff in the tank.

Good question. Each car is predicted to cost $5 million to build. MB plans upon selling the cars for $420,000. A 4.68 million dollar loss per car.
