Never get caught in the rough again.

Golf carts aren't exactly marvels of horsepower, but that doesn't mean they can't be unique.

Take this hovercraft-cart, for example. It's actually a promotion for Oakley, with pro golfer Bubba Watson riding around. So, bad news: we can't throw money at Oakley and/or Bubba Watson until they give us one. But also: there is a golf hovercraft that exists, which makes the world a very slightly weirder place.

Interesting promotion; I wonder how much sound it makes on the golf field. Many people do not like leaf blowers for their intruding sound. This hover craft may bother many on the golf field with it's blowers.

Im interested in seeing how far it could go up a hill, because im kinda skeptic as to how much power it can actually output.

Not practical on hilly courses--brakes?

Update to Mark Twain-

Golf: A good hover spoiled.

Of course, golfers are likely to find the new cart a visual and audible distraction. Perhaps some courses can be designed/modified to accomidate this nifty mahine. We'll just have to wait and see the degree of acceptance the game will have for it.

Is golf a sport of recreation?
