Eighty-eight percent of tablet owners use their devices while watching TV. IntoNow, an Android and iOS app, is the best way to sync the two screens. The app continuously samples TV audio, determines what’s on by way of its 200-million-hour database, and then displays related news and posts, clips, screenshots, and soundtrack info on the tablet. The database is so vast that the app can recognize archived video—including Netflix and a DVR library—and the algorithm is so accurate it can distinguish between similar live content (i.e., it won’t spit out Giants stats during a Jets game).
