The 1500SJ, the tallest self-propelled aerial lift, replaces custom-installed, permit-mandatory cranes. A driver can park the 1500SJ in front of a 15-story building, climb into the basket, and lift 1,000 pounds of material to the roof. It’s just over eight feet long when retracted, yet it has an 80-foot horizontal span and can reach anything within a 2.1-million-cubic-foot envelope. In an increasingly urban world, this is the tool that will get windows cleaned, pianos delivered, and roof gardens installed.

are pianos really that light?
A small home Piano is about 250-300 pounds. A 'Baby Grand' Piano weighs 400-500 pounds. A Grand Piano weighs about 700 pounds, and a Concert Grand Piano weighs in at 1,000 lbs. So yes, this thing can lift it!
I would much rather have this around instead of 8 sweaty, grunting lifters trying to maneuver it up many flights of stairs. :)
The width is just over eight feet. The length is considerable longer. These things are great fun. Better than a carnival ride.
Sorry to burst the piano delivery guys bubble, but you cant lift a piano with an aerial lift. Its too large to place in the platform, you can't hang it on from the bottom as the lift isn't to be used as a crane, you cant strap it to the outside of the platform as the CG load center is too far out and the stability of the machine is based on a pre-defined load center in the platform.
You can only place people, materials, tools in the platform. Anything mounted outside of the platform needs to be approved by the manufacturer to ensure the machine stability is maintained.
