The Panda Cam Is Coming Back [Video]

Oh, wonderful day. The government shutdown ended last night, which means the Smithsonian National Zoo’s panda cam, inexcusably deemed “non-essential” and thus turned off, is returning to fill our hours with joy. The organization posted this video of a giant panda cub, meanwhile announcing the camera’s imminent return. (It’s still down for the time being, but they’re in the process of booting it back up.)

Unfortunately, we also missed precious memories of the baby panda during that time:

It’s not fair! We’ll never get those moments back! Darn. We’ll just have to enjoy the next ones even more.
