105865943_91dbddc25a_oFor those of us who remember dialing up bulletin-board systems (BBSs) back in the day, this Flickr site showing BBS ads will stir some deep memories. The images were lo-res—9,600 baud modems were the best you could hope for back then—frequently cheesy, festooned with the direct phone number to the BBS modem and, though not represented in this photo set, sometimes built solely from ASCII characters. But they were varied and entertaining. I love the Paleolithic ray-tracing art. And the, um, faeries. Damn. I feel old now. —Martha Harbison
