Has your iPhone 6s suddenly powered down, even though it had a full battery? If so, it’s worth checking with Apple to find out whether you’re eligible for a free replacement battery.

This week, the company announced that a limited number of devices, manufactured between September and October 2015, may shut down unexpectedly. “If you have experienced this issue,” reads the statement on their website, “please visit an Apple Retail Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider and have your device’s serial number checked to confirm eligibility for a battery replacement, free of charge.”

Apple emphasized that this is not a safety issue, unlike the recent Samsung Galaxy 7 recall, which was due to exploding batteries. So if you’ve been having power issues with your phone, talk to Apple support online or swing by a retail store to find out if you’re eligible.
