Yes, we're here at CES, the annual consumer electronics blitz in Las Vegas. Where the Samsungs, Sonys and Panasonics of the world unveil what we'll all be seeing at Best Buy in 2010.

As you already know, a lot of what one finds in Best Buy can be decidedly pedestrian. So in true PopSci fashion, we're focusing only on the gear that represents a significant evolution in tech that has the ability to shape the future of how we live with our gadgets. With a little sprinkling thrown in for good measure of the special absurdity that a quorum of over 100,000 of the world's electronics sellers, buyers, makers and writers all come together in Las Vegas.
