Yeah, why is my tax dollar, 'renewable energy' money going towards NASA crashing stuff into the moon to find water droplets, or towards figuring out how to re-land on the moon? Let the private sector figure it out, as there are more pressing issues here on earth.

you should ask why five time the research money is going into puting CO2 into the ground that solar tech research AND aplication combined...
